Neil Mann
This skilful left-sided midfield player is something of a cult hero amongst the City fans but suffered a serious cruciate-ligament injury in the November of the '98/'99 season. Remarkably he battled back to fitness only to suffer a recurrence of his knee problem in the home game against Liverpool in the Worthington Cup. He is now continuing his fight to start playing again, although it is likely he will miss the start of the forthcoming season.
